What are the braking methods for CNC rotary tables?

There are usually two braking methods for CNC rotary tables:

1. Electromagnetic braking: This is a common braking method. An electromagnetic brake device is installed on the CNC rotary table. The current controller is used to energize or de-energize the electromagnet to control the release and braking of the brake. When braking is required, the current controller energizes the electromagnet to clamp the brake disc and prevent the rotation of the table. When the brake needs to be released, the power supply of the current controller is disconnected to de-energize the electromagnet, the brake disc is released, and the table can rotate.

2. Hydraulic brake: This type of brake is suitable for large CNC rotary tables . The brake disc is clamped and released by the hydraulic system. Hydraulic brakes have greater braking force and better stability, and are suitable for high-speed, high-load braking operations on the table. Hydraulic brakes are usually composed of one or more hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic oil is supplied or discharged to the hydraulic cylinder to control the clamping and release of the brake disc, achieving fast and reliable braking.

Both braking methods can be controlled according to the instructions of the CNC system to achieve automatic braking and releasing operations. The specific braking method depends on the design and requirements of the CNC rotary table.
